Ageing rocker ozzy osbourne isn’t getting into the festive spirit – especially now that he’s given up the booze. The bat-biting rock star says, “I hate Christmas. I hate it! Everything stops. When I used to drink, it was a good excuse to get drunk for two weeks. Now I just hate it. I have to unravel all these presents. What a waste of paper!”
ozzy’s favourite Christmas was in 2003, when he was in a coma and could sleep through the entire day. He recalls, “I had a Christmas number one [his duet with daughter Kelly, ‘Changes’]. The only thing is that I was in the hospital. When I did that thing with Kelly, I then nearly killed myself in a quad-bike accident. I was in a coma for a while, so I missed Christmas, thank God. If I want to miss Christmas, I’ll get on my quad bike and break my neck again.”
