David and Collet Stephan reportedly refused medical treatment and used home remedies such as olive leaf extract, whey protein, water with maple syrup, and juice with frozen berries.

When little Ezekiel continued to suffer they used apple cider vinegar, horseradish root, hot peppers, onion, garlic, and ginger root.

But his condition grew worse and Ezekiel was airlifted to hospital, where he passed away.

The couple are facing court and have been asking for donations on their Facebook page. They are claiming they have been unjustly persecuted.

“Since this court case has begun, there has been a great deal of opposition and outright malicious attacks from various organisations, some having pharmaceutical interests and others just having a very strong opposing agenda,” David wrote.

The case is before the court and the couple are pleading not guilty on all charges.
