Ever had that moment where you find your old diary from your youth, only to cringe and laugh in equal measure at its ridiculous contents?
One teenager from Utah is already cringing at the contents of her diary from age 7 – in which the struggles of a kid are mapped out in bright pink ink.
16-year-old Madie Cardon tweeted excerpts from her 2008 diary, when her 7-year-old self struggled with crushes, disloyal friends and ‘deppresion.’
On February 13, 2008, Madie writes: “Dear diary, I don’t know if I can do this anymore. I think I hjave deppresion. Today at school my crush riley was chasing other girls in the playground! I thout he liked me. And geuse who he was chasing! Jessica! She is such a player! She hugs at lest 5 boys every day! I am so mad at her. I think I will tell riley her secret. She wears pull ups! After he finds out he wont like her anymore. (sic)”
Damn that Jessica. What a hussy.
Valentine’s Day took a turn for the worse (Via Twitter)
The next day however, Madie is feeling even darker than before. And on valentine’s day, no less.
“My dreppresin is getting strong. Today is Valentines Day. I made Riley a valentine. Me and Katelyn stayed up all night makin it. Before Riley got to school I put it in his desk. (number 22) When he got to school he looked in his desk and found my box. I wrote anomious on it so he didn’t know it was from me. Rigt when he looked at it throw away. I am still cring. I have deppresion.(sic)”
As if that wasn’t dire enough, on February 15th, things get really, really dark.
“Worst day ever,” Madie writes. “Riley told me he likes Jessica. I am done with boys. I want to kill all of them.”
She then accompanies the sentiment with a delightful cartoon of her shooting a group of boys – with helpful labels besides.
