The Block Australia is back for its milestone 20th season in 2024. Before you watch the show, meet this year’s contestants and then get to know this year’s judges below.
Who are the judges for this year’s The Block Australia?
Co-hosts Scott Cam and Shelley Craft will return for The Block in 2024, along with judges Shaynna Blaze and Darren Palmer.
However, Neale Whitaker will not return in 2024. Why did The Block judge leave? Well, Neale scaled back his involvement last year because his partner David Noavk-Piper was sadly suffering from “serious health issues.”
And while Neale confirmed in a recent Instagram post that “David gets stronger with each passing month,” he also shared that he decided to quit The Block entirely in 2024 to spend as much time as possible with David.
Neale will be replaced by real estate agent Marty Fox, who appeared in a few episodes of last year’s season.

Shaynna Blaze
Shaynna Blaze is a renowned Australian interior designer, television personality, and author.
She has been a judge on The Block since 2012. She also hosted Selling Houses Australia from 2008 to 2020.
Beyond television, Shaynna has authored books on interior design and is celebrated for her ability to blend style with practicality in her work.
Darren Palmer
With a background in fine arts and a passion for design, Darren Palmer has become a leading figure in the Australian interior design industry.
He is celebrated for his sophisticated, contemporary style, which blends luxury with livability and has been a judge on The Block since 2013.
Darren has also authored books on home design and runs a successful design studio which frequently collaborates with major brands.
Marty Fox
Marty Fox is a prominent Australian real estate agent known for his innovative approach and success in the Melbourne property market.
The founder of Whitefox Real Estate, which specialises in high-end residential properties, Marty first appeared on The Block last year. However, this year he’s been bumped up to official full-time judge.
The Block Australia will premiere in New Zealand on Sunday 24 November on Three and ThreeNow.
