There will be plenty of glitz and glamour when TV’s biggest and brightest stars come out for the 68th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards this week. To get the lowdown on who’s tipped to take the coveted gongs, we steal a moment with The Hype host Ksenija Lukich.
LIVE FROM THE RED CARPET: 68TH EMMY® AWARDS on E! – Monday 19 September, from 8.30am
Have you been looking forward to the Emmy Awards?
I have! It marks the start of awards season and it’s when everything kicks off, so it’s definitely an exciting time of year. Also, the Emmys are a lot bigger these days because we’re in the era
of television where people can’t stop binge-watching shows.
What show are you rooting for?
Game of Thrones because I am so addicted to it! It’s one of my favourites. I’ve also just finished watching Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. I got so wrapped up in it that I watched two seasons in three days. It’s a very quirky comedy – a bit weird, but then I’m a little bit weird!

Who are your favourite Game of Thrones characters?
That’s hard to answer because there are so many strong female roles and plot lines that are driven by women – it’s game-changing TV. But for me, it’s definitely Jon Snow, played by Kit Harington. I think he’s such a cutie and a great character. Arya Stark, played by Maisie Williams, is also incredible.
What type of shows do you like to wind down to?
I like sitcoms and comedies because after a long day, all I want to do is lie in bed and just laugh!
What are your Emmy predictions?
Game of Thrones is going to take home a lot of awards. I also think House of Cards, starring Kevin Spacey, will do really well. Taraji P. Henson has been nominated for her role in Empire and I think she’s amazing. And you can’t get funnier than Julia Louis-Dreyfus in Veep.
Who is your celebrity crush?
I recently met Zac Efron. He’s a very beautiful man and very well groomed!
