A friend of Andy Allen reveals the lovable MasterChef Australia judge is considering his future on the hit cooking show – and former co-star Melissa Leong sees an opportunity!
“Andy has been unsure about his role ever since Jock Zonfrillo’s death,” reports an insider. “Travelling to Italy and being in Rome, where Jock was living just before he died, brought back how much he misses him,” says our source. “It raised all those questions once again.”
The report comes amid rumours Dessert Masters judge Melissa Leong, 42, has told the TV network she’d only go back to MasterChef when her former co-star Andy Allen, 36, leaves the show.
Stories of a feud between the two started in 2022, before Melissa exited the series in 2024.
“Andy Allen doesn’t know if he’ll continue MasterChef long-term and that might make room for Melissa to return, but one thing is for certain, they won’t work together again,” says another insider.
MasterChef: Dessert Masters screens 7pm Mondays and Tuesdays on TVNZ 2. And streaming on TVNZ+.
