Married At First Sight: Does Shannon cheat on new wife Caitlin?

Two brides decide the truth needs to come out

This week on Married At First Sight Australia, Claire and Lyndall turn up to the dinner party with a bombshell to drop – they’ve spotted Shannon with a mystery woman and a child… without his wife Caitlin!

“That was a big shock,” Claire confesses. “We obviously thought that it was his ex-fiancée and his child.”

The kindergarten assistant from Melbourne adds that personal trainer Shannon got “a little bit defensive” when he realised who had spotted him.

“He came across as a little agitated and annoyed he’d been seen, so that’s what made us go, ‘Well, that’s a weird reaction.'”

Claire and Perth accountant Lyndall decide the truth needs to come out at the dinner party, so Claire makes up her mind to confront Shannon about it.

“Girl code,” she explains.

“If Shannon was hanging out with his ex, it would have been nice for Caitlin to be aware of that.”

But is the mystery woman really Shannon’s former fiancée or is the truth something very different?

Drama is the main course at this tense dinner party.

Harrison: I wanted out! The seasons biggest villain bites back

The biggest drama of the dinner party involves Harrison Boon, who has reluctantly remained in the experiment after his wife Bronte Schofield, 28, wrote “stay” when he wrote “leave” at the commitment ceremony.

“I had my bags packed,” admits the 32-year-old builder from Sydney. “I wanted out of there. I was so over it by that point. What you don’t see on TV is that I spent weeks and weeks trying to win this girl back over, and it was just getting to the point where I was like, ‘Well, why am I putting up with it for a girl I hardly know?'”

A rumour involving a woman sends shockwaves through the dinner party and there’s an accusation made about one of the men that causes someone to walk out.

“That happened nearly every week,” smirks Harrison. “Oh, another walkout? OK, whatever. After a while, you just roll your eyes at the behaviour.”

But Claire chooses to confront Harrison over his central role in the drama.

“I was quite vocal,” she admits. “If I’m 100% honest, I don’t like Harrison at all.”

But Harrison doesn’t cop it and bites back in his own defence. He insists, “It’s a bit hypocritical for Claire to confront anyone about stuff like that!”

Shock partner swap!

Jesse sensed there was a vibe between his wife Claire and Adam.

You can’t hide the sparks between Claire and Adam

Has there been this season’s first partner swap on Married At First Sight or is it all just the figment of a jealous imagination?

Last week, Jesse Burford suspected there was something going on between his wife Claire and beauty influencer Janelle’s husband Adam.

Claire herself confesses, “Adam is charming and charismatic, and he was saying all the things I was craving to hear from Jesse. He told me I’m funny, positive and enthusiastic – all the things I love about myself that Jesse was annoyed by. Maybe I fell for his charm a bit.”

Claire admits Perth marriage celebrant Jesse, 30, picked up on a vibe between her and “good-looking” British-born business owner Adam. “His gut feeling told him there was a spark there and I guess you can’t hide that,” she says, hinting that this isn’t the last we’ve heard of the potential love triangle.
