Married At First Sight NZ star Wayne McIntosh has wed for real, tying the knot to Zoë Southwood in a romantic ceremony on Auckland’s Waiheke Island.
“My highlight was seeing how beautiful she looked as she walked down the aisle,” the rocket engineer, 37, tells Woman’s Day. “I’m not going to lie – there were a few tears, but I was holding our son Anthony, so I hid them behind his little head. I’m a truly lucky man.”
Having son Ant there was the icing on the cake.
A Waiheke florist who owns specialist wedding business Wildflower, Zoë, 27, and her team styled the blooms for the big day, says Wayne, adding that having nine-month-old Ant at the altar was “a very special moment for our little family”.
Asked what MAFS taught him about marriage, Wayne laughs, “Resilience and not to jump into such serious commitment. The old-fashioned way is best – build a connection, then love and a commitment!”
