As season two of The White Lotus concluded, viewers had several questions – but none more pressing than the obvious: when do we get season three?
Lucky for us, Mike White, the series’ showrunner, didn’t waste a second before dropping Easter eggs about the next season, including potential character reunions and an all-new location.
Now, as we inch closer to the February 17 check-in date, HBO has dropped its first full-length trailer to kick off the upcoming eight-episode season. And by the looks of it, we’re in for a treat.

What are the first two seasons of The White Lotus about?
To recap what we’ve seen so far (without any spoilers, of course), the series follows a selection of holiday-goers who visit luxurious locations in the White Lotus resort chain to live out their worst and most privileged impulses. We see the impact of the drama that unfolds on the hotel staff as well as the travellers themselves.
In season 1, a group of wealthy guests find themselves entangled in a murder mystery while staying at the Hawaiian White Lotus resort branch. As time progresses, their privileged behaviours and personal issues become more apparent, exposing the complexities of class and colonialism.
In season 2, this time set in Sicily, the upper-class guests encounter yet another murder. This season also highlights the hotel manager’s struggles to navigate the guests’ countless demands while managing the ambitions of two young local women seeking to climb the social ladder. As well as following the same themes of class and elitism we saw in the first season, this one also explores lust and power.

What is the third season of The White Lotus about?
Set in Thailand, season 3 follows a mostly new cast and welcomes a new wave of guests to the hotel. Unfortunately (or fortunately if you prefer to go in blind), not too much has been revealed about the plot of the new season. But if the first two were anything to go off, it’s going to be an absolute ripper – White has yet to let us down.

Who stars in the new season of The White Lotus?
The show is widely known for its star-studded cast, so we’re all desperate to find out who we can expect to see in season 3.
In the previous seasons, stars such as Divergent star Theo James, Aubrey Plaza, Baywatch‘s Alexandria Daddario, Jennifer Coolidge, Sydney Sweeney, Natasha Rothwell and The Bold Type‘s Meghann Fahy.
Unfortunately, Jennifer Coolidge, who delivered a standout performance in seasons 1 and 2, will not be returning for the third time. However, Natasha Rothwell is set to return as the kind and generous White Lotus spa manager, Belinda Lindsey whom we came to love in season 1. Bring it on, Belinda!

We can expect to see an entirely new cast this time around (apart from Natasha), but it’s worth noting that Kiwi actress Morgana O’Reilly is set to grace our screens. Though we aren’t yet certain what her role will be just yet, we couldn’t be more excited.
We also recognise Sex Education actress Aimee Lou Wood playing Chelsea, a curious, free-spirited hotel guest. Blackpink’s Lisa (using her given name Lalisa Manobal for her acting debut) will appear as Mook, a health mentor for the hotel guests. And of course, Harry Potter fans will know Jason Isaacs, who famously portrayed Lucius Malfoy throughout the films. He is playing a wealthy businessman named Timothy, vacationing with his wife Victoria (played by Parker Posey) and their kids. There are a few familiar names to get excited about!
