Adele’s third album 25 already has many accolades – No. 1 debut in multiple countries, most downloads of her single Hello in its first week, and 25 sold a record-breaking 3.38 million copies in its first week as the largest single sales week for an album since sales even began to be monitored in 1991 – but a 58th Grammy nomination will not be added to that repertoire.
Despite her overwhelmingly successful comeback, the beloved songstress is simply not eligible and her fans are not happy about it.
“WHY IS ADELE NOT NOMINATED FOR THE GRAMMYS,” one wrote. “Ahm excuse me but where is Adele’s nomination,” said another.

The rules state on the Grammy’s website that “for the 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards, albums must be released between Oct. 1, 2014 and Sept. 30, 2015,”
Neither the album nor her single Hello were released during that time – Hello came out in late October and 25 followed in mid-November.
Despite this year’s disappointing news, she hasn’t exactly fallen short before.
Adele won Best New artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards in 2009.
Then she took out all six categories in which she was nominated for at the 2012 54th Grammy Awards, making her the second female artist in history to win that many awards in one night, after Beyoncé.
The 2013 awards saw her win Best Pop Solo Performance and her total Grammy wins came to ten when her James Bond theme song Skyfall took out Best Song Written for Visual Media at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards in 2014.
Even though she’s missed out this time, we’re certain the 27-year-old mum of one will be saying Hello to many nominations next year.
