There’s no denying little Blue Ivy looked like a real-life princess on the white carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards last night.
The tiny tot was all glammed up in a gown that was every bit as show-stopping as that of her famous mama’s – and with a hefty price tag to match!
Blue’s full-length frock, which paired a metallic laser-cut bodice with a multi-layered cascading skirt, was created by luxury childrenswear designer Mischka Aoki and is priced at up to US$10,289.49.
Speaking to ET, the designer revealed that Blue’s gorgeous gown was customised specially for her and included a 3D flower applique that was “individually hand-sewn” onto the dress.
“Beyonce has always been one of our most valued clients for many years,” the designer said.
“And we are thrilled to be able to work with Beyonce’s amazing team who came up with such an amazing concept for this VMAs event.”
Of course, Beyonce herself turned heads in a mint-green feathered Francesco Scognamiglio design on the big night.
However, the music superstar made sure it wasn’t all about herself at the awards ceremony. As well as taking Blue Ivy along as her date for the night, Beyonce also made a powerful statement by bringing along the mothers of shooting victims Oscar Grant, Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin and Michael ‘Mike’ Brown.
The women all previously appeared in Beyonce’s Lemonade visual album and were joined on the white carpet by others including model Winnie Harlow and actress Quvenzhane Wallis.
Later in the night, Beyonce hit the stage to perform a flawless medley of songs from her latest album.
All in all, the singer picked up eight awards during the night including the top prize for Video of the Year for her song ‘Formation’.
