Former Shortland Street star Beulah Koale is celebrating the birth of his baby twin boys, who arrived prematurely, late last year.

Sharing the sweetest photo to social media of himself and his partner Georgia Otene cradling their tiny sons in a hospital room, the new parents were beaming with joy.

Xavier and Isaac were born early at six months, in December 2016.

Along with the snap, the young actor wrote a tribute to the mother of his boys, calling his partner “Superwoman” as well as touching on the struggle on the twins’ early birth.

“You were their first protector, their first home. You cradled them in you. You fed them. You sang to them, he wrote.

“I thank you and honour you for bringing our twin boys into this world … We have a long road ahead of us but our faith and love for our boys and each other will get us through this.”

The Samoan-Kiwi actor first made his name on Shortland Street playing the role of troubled teen Jared.

Since leaving the show, Koale’s career has been forging ahead with the star picked for a top role in the American war film Thank You For Your Service directed by Jason Hall (American Sniper).

Koale plays an American Samoan solider suffering from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in the aftermath of the Iraq war.

Koale said he knew when he first laid eyes on Otene that she was ‘the one’.

In an earlier interview with the Weekly, Koale revealed Otene was his one true love, and his rock as his life blazed ahead.

“I’ve never had a girlfriend before, because I was always scared of girls,” Koale said. “But when I first laid eyes on Georgia, I knew that she was ‘the one’.”
